                                                            ..........and many, many more!

Acupuncture is the ancient Chinese method of
healing that involves the insertion of very fine
needles at various acupuncture points found on
the body.  These acupuncture points are located
along meridian pathways that are known to
conduct qi, or life energy, through the body and to
its various internal organs.  Depending on your
condition and what you are seeking treatment for,
your acupuncturist will select specific acupuncture
points with the intention to manipulate the qi to
bring it back into balance so that it will work in
harmony with your body's natural healing process.

Yes, acupuncture is very safe.  Your acupuncturist only uses sterile, single use
needles that are removed and disposed of immediately following each
acupuncture treatment.  Lindsay has been certified in the national standard
Clean Needle Technique and complies with all state required protocols for the
handling and disposing of sterile acupuncture needles.

What is acupuncture?

What conditions can acupuncture treat?

Is acupuncture safe?

Acupuncture is virtually painless.  Lindsay uses a very gentle needle technique
that produces very little to no pain upon insertion.  Furthermore, acupuncture
needles are very small and fine and generally produce nothing more than a
slight sting or pinch when initially inserted. Most people find acupuncture very
enjoyable, calming and relaxing and actually fall asleep during their acupuncture
    treatment.

Is acupuncture painful?

Your first acupuncture intake and treatment will last 1 hour and 30 minutes.
This allows us enough time to review your full health and medical history and
answer any questions you might have about acupuncture or Chinese herbs.
Follow-up visits last 1 hour.  Your actual acupuncture treatment will vary
anywhere between 15 to 45 minutes.  We like to allow the needles to be
retained for at least 20-30 minutes so that you will obtain the maximum health
benefit that acupuncture has to offer.

How long does an acupuncture treatment last?

This depends on how acute or chronic your individual condition may be.  You
may experience a significant improvement after only one acupuncture
treatment.  In general, most conditions are fully resolved with 6 to 8
acupuncture treatments.  Once your particular complaint has resolved, we
recommend that you come in for once-a-month "acupuncture tune-ups."
