Robin graduated from the American College of Traditional Medicine in 2015. She is a licensed herbalist, acupuncturist, NGO co-founder and ABORM candidate (American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine). Her background prior to Chinese Medicine includes a degree from UW in Anthropology, plus 10 years working with Pilates and kinesiology, all which inform her practice. During her Masters in Chinese medicine, she had the opportunity to work with the renowned fertility specialist, Dr. Lifang Liang in San Francisco. After her own experience with childbirth, she was deeply moved to focus on women’s health, with a special focus on perinatal care, from fertility through postpartum.
Additionally, Robin is deeply interested in the role of Chinese medicine in global and public health. Before graduation, she started a free Spanish-speaking acupuncture clinic at Instituto Familiar de la Raza in San Francisco’s Mission District. Through her NGO, The Common Ground Collective, she has worked with rural communities in Mexico and Puerto Rico to introduce Chinese medicine and revitalize their own traditional healing arts.
Robin can usually be found in her kitchen, cooking with her daughter and partner, paddle boarding when the weather allows, and always checking out too many books at the library.
